Silver Trak Digital Acquires Independent Tape Service becomes Sony professional media authorised dealer and Panasonic media distributor

SYDNEY 3 December 2007 – Silver Trak Digital, leaders in CD, DVD, video & audio cassette duplication, MPEG encoding and media transfers, today announced that it has acquired Independent Tape Service Australia (ITS) and has now become a Sony Professional Media authorised dealer and Panasonic media distributor.

Founded in 1990 by Tony McCullough, ITS is a key pro media distributor, with Sony and Panasonic as its lead product ranges complimented by Quantegy audio and Verbatim optical media support lines.

Silver Trak Digital managing director Ron Anderson said, “The strategic acquisition of ITS furthers our commitment to the market and has been very well received by our customers. With their high service quality, having ITS as part of Silver Trak Digital significantly reinforces and strengthens our relationships with government, broadcast and archive clients.”

As a result of the acquisition, ITS will relocate to Silver Trak Digital’s Ultimo headquarters where it integrates into the business. Anderson added, “We are also delighted to announce that ITS’ key customer service manager, Rosie McCredden, will also become part of the Silver Trak Digital team ensuring the seamless continuity of service to all existing ITS customers. Rosie’s appointment, together with the premium dealerships for both Sony and Panasonic media, provide all of our customers with comprehensive products and services from both our Sydney and Canberra offices.”
